Tonight I went to a book signing. In the City. The windy City. You know, Chicago. Yes, this suburban girl went. alone. to the heart of the windy City. On the train. Yes, I put on my big girl panties and went alone by public transportation at night. I returned to the burbs after dark. *Gasp* Here are my top 10 memories of the night:
10. Trains are loud and the seats make my back ache
9. Train stations smell like pee, sweaty socks, and stale farts
8. Dogs in Chicago poop on the sidewalk. Oh, the humiliation.
7. A 10 minute walk = an hour when you don't use your cell phone navigator correctly
6. Ignoring the cell phone navigator allowed me to get directions from a hot waiter
5. News people on display draw a crowd
4. News people wear a lot of makeup
3. People in Chicago are friendly
2. Peeing alone is fantastic
1. Vagina cupcakes are wicked awesome
